Pamme Swan: Swan Songs

The Fall Song

(Pamme Swan)

Pamme Swan
This song is ancient history.
I wrote this song when I was maybe 20. Every year when fall rolls around an I get that feeling. This song comes to mind and every year I say...I've GOT to record that that fall song.
So here it is.
Summer is going again
Left the sky red bleeding
All through the trees
Indian come paint the leaves
Autumn is waiting
I’m hesitating
The days are growing shorter
The moons begin to wane
Listen to the geese
Crying peace, Flying V’s
Before the freezing winter
Blows out all the leaves
Ole Jack Frost is coming
The birds are all crying
The trees are hibernating
And the gardens begin to dream...
Then somehow you came to me
I wasn’t looking finally
Cupid aimed his bow
Now where did that angel go
Cause I’m ok now
I must be on my way now
Time to let go somehow
While love is still in your face
Summer is going again
Going again
